These days were the tough one, because you cannot eat even though you know tat you are hungry... all I could eat was bowl of porridge and 4th day slightly better... I could eat "Zui Kuay" which doesnt need much of the chewing.... and finally today, I could eat a packet of chicken rice!! I was so excited but I still couldnt bite with my front teeth so I couldnt manage to eat noodles....
No much changes on the teeth, Guess its just first few days of treatment.... needs lotsa patient on that... Still feel some discomfort... feel as though the teeth wasnt mine, but well... hope it would get better as time goes by... Gonna get my separators fixed in on 25th Feb 2013.... Looking forward to it!

My long waited braces - Beginning stage (1st month)
Hi! I am Sally, a girl (or maybe a un-lady-like Lady?) from Singapore, this year age 23 coming 24. The reason I wanna create this blog is to record down my experience on getting the braces done within this 2 to 3 years.
I always wanted braces so badly ever since I was 15 years old due to my self-conciousness of my severely crooked set of teeth... And yes! I finally managed to got it yesterday and i thought of sharing my 3 years treatment experience here so as for me to remember this important milestone of my life!
I've got my braces done at A Dental Clinic @ Jurong East. I must say... You can easily overcome all your phobias you've got from your primary school dentist experience as there are no pain at all while doing your scaling, polishing and even fillings!!
I've taken 2 x-rays and Dr Ng (who is my dentist consultant for braces) suggested tat I need to remove 5 tooths
I've got 5 tooths removed altogether... 4 pre-molars and 1 molar... scary... but Dr Ng did a great job in helping me overcome the fear of getting the tooths extracted... 21 Jan 2012 I did the first extraction and 28 Jan 2012 I did the second one.... and yesterday (4 Feb 2012) I got my braces fixed on.
Immediately after the braces were fixed on, there's no much feeling or pain. About 1 hour later.. you will feel the pull which will make your teeth (or your gum) feel sore.. Cant even chew on tofu or bread... The most unbearabole part is you cant eat solid food when you know you are hungry... So I ate (in fact swallow) some porridge and one half boil egg, took painkiller and went to sleep at 10pm, which is far too early than my usually sleep (12am or so)... And this morning I woke up with no much pain... but I still cant eat solid food.... Hope tmr onwards would be better! :) and hopefully I can get to loss some weight in the process :)
